17th April 2006 Windsurfing: Marazion Wind Direction: Wind Stength: light but increasing all day Surf / Sea State: flat but with some building sw Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: ok Weather: fine Max Speed: Distance Covered: UKWA event, combined formula & slalom for race, plus freestyle for the freewave crew. I loaned Sola Chris my 9.8m V8 as his Severne hadn't arrived yet, so plugged my 8.5m V8 into my Hyper-X 130 and used that to fun formula race on. Didn't do too bad either, wasn't last anyway ! Had a quick spin on Chris's Starboard F160 with my 9.8m and found it to be really good .... errm ... might even be tempted to sort myself one of these to replace the FW1.5. Wind filled in a bit around lunchtime and we got in 3 rounds of slalom, where the hyper-X & 8.5m became ideal set up. Cracking day racing ! |
